Fundamental advances of the feminist economics in Latin America
Keywords:
feminist economics, Latin America, economic thoughtAbstract
This paper intends to establish a route through some of the reflections
that have been raised around the feminist economics based on its Latin
American experience. In order to show that, although this sub-field of the economics has been constituted as such only until recent decades, especially in the Anglo-Saxon context, in the case of Latin America it has become increasingly important as an alternative to dominant economic thought. For this reason, and under the umbrella of feminist orientation, this discipline has set out to discuss the conditions in which people – particularly feminized bodies– find themselves in the world of paid work as well as in the home.
