Dossier – Public debt in the context of the crisis of neoliberal capitalism
This call invites submissions to *Cuadernos de Economía Crítica* to address the various topics outlined here concerning public debt. By way of illustration, and far from presenting an exhaustive list, the call for papers prioritises the following areas of interest: analysis of the effects of debt on the economic functioning of debtor countries, at national or sub-national level, and its impact on the living conditions of the population; regional comparisons of debt; studies on different creditors or the international regulatory framework, evaluation of alternatives under debate (including confrontational strategies such as audits or non-payment), geopolitical disputes regarding financing – with discussions on the global economy and imperialism – and the role of International Financial Institutions – both traditional and new – in the reconfiguration of sovereign debt patterns, amongst others.
Finally, it is worth noting that articles must meet the same requirements as any other article in Cuadernos de Economía Crítica and will undergo the same evaluation process.
