Social policy, accumulation and workforce reproduction in Argentina: An analysis for the period 1993-2009
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the State intervention in the financing of workforce reproduction, considering the different components of public spending, under both the Convertibilidad and Post-Convertibilidad regimes. We start from a theoretic basis that conceives social policy not only as a distributive artifact, but also as an instrument with direct incidence in the accumulation process, oriented to guarantee and adjust the conditions of the workforce reproduction to capital needs.
