The electoral triumph of the Alianza Cambiemos in 2015 in Argentina marked the return of neoliberal projects and resulted in a change in the development model at the national level. This had an impact on the country's economy, politics and society. During the Cambiemos years, macroeconomic policy and the dynamics of global capitalism led to a heterogeneization of the Argentine working class in terms of income and labor conditions, with processes of de-salarization, flexibilization and precariousness. These changes influenced the way in which workers organized themselves in trade unions, with different approaches depending on the sector, whether formal or informal private, public, popular economy or agrarian. The impacts of these changes, aggravated by the pandemic and the conditions imposed by the International Monetary Fund, have played a crucial role in the dynamics of income distribution between employers and workers, as well as in the possibilities and scope of collective action in each sector. It is important to analyze this distribution of social power between different sectors and groups of workers in order to understand their differences and similarities, and to question the inherited categories used in economic and social theory.
